ah, this is so lovely! i am doing a sisters of mercy painting too but it's a different idea and nowhere near as detailed as this.

i love their smiles and the fringe on the yellow dress.

Aw, this is lovely. Ask me tomorrow, and I'll probably give you a different era, but this reminds me of the wonderful sort of illustrations you'd find in a Victorian novel!
